The Process
Interested in Volunteering at the Construction Site?
Print out the appropriate legal waiver form below, sign it and bring it to the construction site the first time you volunteer. Find the construction manager, Chad Ray, who will get you started as a volunteer.
You must be at least 16 years old in order to volunteer at the construction site. Anyone who is 16 or 17 years old must have parental permission on the legal waiver form for minors, which can be printed by selecting the link below.
If you are coming with a group of 3 or more, we ask that you call Gwen Miles, our volunteer coordinator, so that we have an appropriate number of volunteers at the site. She can be reached at the office number, 304-422-7907.
Interested in Volunteering at the ReStore or on Committees?
Two types of volunteers are needed in the new ReStore. First, we need folks who are willing to serve as material handlers. These volunteers will receive donations that are brought to the ReStore, pick up donations and perhaps even drive the box truck! Cleaning, testing, and arranging merchandise will be part of the material handlers’ work.
The second position to be filled is that of customer service specialists. These volunteers will work directly with customers as they are shopping in the ReStore. Answering the telephone and running a simple cash register will also be part of their duties.
Volunteers are needed to staff all committees: family selection, family support, fundraising, church relations, building, site selection. If you are interested in any of these areas, please note the specific area on the volunteer form.
Print out the volunteer interest form by selecting the link below, complete it and return it to Gwen Miles, our volunteer coordinator. Someone will contact you within a few days of receiving your volunteer interest form.
